On my last day in Belarus I sent a complaint to the Prosecutor General's Office by registered mail. I had drafted it with the help of a lawyer from the Frunzensky district law office in Minsk.

In the complaint I described in detail what happened to me during the arrest, passed on all the information I had about the suspects, and agreed to cooperate with the oversight and investigative authorities of Belarus.

On August 27 the complaint was received by the Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus:

On September 1 the Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus sent me its decision on my complaint.

Prosecutor A. E. Vorobyova forwarded my complaint about the unlawful actions of police officers during the detention to the Minsk city office of the Investigative Committee for review.

On September 9 the deputy head of the Minsk city office, Colonel of Justice V. N. Belkovsky, forwarded my complaint to the head of the Leninsky district office of the Investigative Committee, Colonel of Justice D. V. Gerasimenya, "to organize its resolution" (now that's a phrase!).
