In early June I decided to ask what had become of my complaint and sent an online inquiry to the Belarusian law enforcement agencies.

On June 11, 2021, my inquiry was forwarded to D. V. Gerasimenya.

On June 25 a reply came to my email from the head of the Leninsky district office of the Investigative Committee, D. V. Gerasimenya. It said that on January 25, 2021, it had been decided to refuse my request to open a criminal case over the torture, beatings, threats of violence and acts of antisemitism.

Gerasimenya also stated that he had sent me the decision earlier, although I never received anything.

In my opinion, Gerasimenya made a number of mistakes in his work, most likely out of negligence, and also acted under pressure from his immediate superiors.

Gerasimenya is accused of neglect of duty, concealing a crime, and aiding a criminal group from within the Investigative Committee of Belarus.

D. V. Gerasimenya
It is worth noting that Gerasimenya's colleagues whom I managed to reach described him as an honest investigator.
