Information about M. V. Safonova

After I started spreading my request for help in finding the OMON riot police officers from the 4th company, an officer of the Sovetsky district police department (RUVD) contacted me anonymously and began helping me with the investigation.

He gave me interesting information about the heads of the Sovetsky district police department, Kalinnik and Kessel. Going by my description, he also helped identify Marina Safonova, who on the night of August 10–11 called detainees out for torture in her squeaky, hoarse voice, egged on the beatings and did nothing to stop the crimes being committed against the detainees.

Later several detainees identified her from different photos.

Talking to her mother made it clear why Marina Safonova behaved this way: she was raised by a person who justifies fascism in Belarus.
